WHAT IS THE JOB'S BOARD AND WHO CAN USE IT?
The Jobs Board is focused on finding jobs, employment and gallery representation for all fields of the arts. The "arts" can include visual, musical, performance, literature anything that feels creative we are interested in listing. ArtUFind has 250 specialized art websites feeding into the site which allows a wide range of art fields and geographical reach. For specific target art niches or cities use one of the specific art websites. An example would be www.houstonartgalleries.com if you were looking for local help or gallery representation in Houston. If you wanted to tap into a museum job you might want to list www.artmuseumsdirectory.com.
WHAT ARE THE COST TO LIST A JOB OR GALLERY REPRESENTATION?
ArtUFind is $25/month for a job listing. Gallery representation is $15/month. A month is considered 30 days. Your Jobs listing will NOT automatically renew and you will receive a email letting you know shortly before the job listing expires. For Gallery Representation you can check when you post the listing to have it renew automatically every 30 days.
WHO CAN USE THE JOBS BOARD?
The ArtUFind jobs board is focused on jobs centered around creative people. We love the arts in all forms this can include entertainment, writing, graphic design, video production and of course artists, art dealers and museums. We are the only Job's board that specializes in the arts our goal is to have an creative community where those in the arts can find opportunities at a cost which is substantially less then the current Classified ads mechanism currently available.
WHAT KIND OF JOBS ARE NOT ALLOWED?
We do not take listings which are not somehow associated with the arts which define very broadly. We only lists jobs or gallery representation we do not allow personalized ads, sexually ads or jobs which are not associated with the arts. If you are looking for an accountant for an art gallery we would love to list your job, but if your an accounting position is for a bank it's not a good fit. Again all forms of creativity are encouraged from writing, acting, to the fine arts. We are the job board for the creative minds. Call us right brains are us.
IF I'M LOOKING FOR A JOB CAN I USE THE JOBS BOARD?
YES, you can post jobs looking for a job as well as an employer who is looking to hire. Being proactive in trying to find work is a great way to land a job as many potential employers will look first to see who' already out looking for a job. Looking for a Job can be listed up on ArtUFind or any of the 250 individual art websites that link into the ArtUFind site.
DOES IT COST TO USE THE JOB BOARD TO SEARCH FOR A JOB OR GALLERY REPRESENTATION?
NO, it's FREE, you simply need to be a member of the ArtUFind community which only takes a minute to join and is also free. We don't collect any fees or services for searching for jobs on the jobs board or for Galleries or Artists to search the Gallery Representation board for potential artists, or galleries looking for artists.
WHAT IS GALLERY REPRESENTATION IS THIS FOR ARTISTS AND GALLERIES?
YES, Both Artists and Galleries can put up postings. The cost for ArtUFind currently is $15/month. A month is considered to be 30 day listing.
Galleries looking for new artists can list what kind of artists or art they are looking to add to their stable and their qualifications as a gallery. The gallery can list 4 images of their gallery or type of art they handle.
Artists looking for gallery representation should list professional qualification, type of gallery your looking for and examples of artwork you produce. Artists can list up to 4 pieces of art showcasing your artwork to potential art galleries. Finding gallery representation is always the hard part for artists by letting others know you are looking you may find the perfect fit and a gallery you would never have thought of calling on.
CAN ART ILLUSTRATED IN GALLERY REPRESENTATION BE FOR SALE?
The Gallery representation board is to find artists/galleries and is not designed as a platform to sell art, though prices of your artwork can and probably should be included in description. If you goal is to sell art vs Representation then you should purchase a Basic Membership this will allow you to be include into search functions for art, and email alerts. This is where art collectors go to find artwork for sale.
HOW WILL POTENTIAL EMPLOYERS/EMPLOYEES CONTACT ME?
In your job listing you should include information regarding the method you would like to be contacted. ArtUFind is the platform which puts those interested in the arts together, its up to how you want people to make contact with you. This would generally be an email or phone, but you may also only want mail correspondence.
IS THERE ANY ADVANTAGE TO HAVE MULTIPLE LISTINGS USING THE FEEDER WEBSITES?
YES, If you are looking for a job or as employer want to cast a large net it is in your best interest to not only advertise on ArtUFind but also more specific websites. An example of a gallery looking for sales help in Palm Springs might want to advertise the listing on www.laartgalleries.net or www.lagunabeachartgalleries.net. This gets you a broader area and increases finding a match.
